I’ve been debating between the Thule Pro XTR, Kuat NV & Sherpa, and 1UP Equip-D to transport my road bike up I-95 from PA to Mass./VT. I’m leaning 1UP because I can get a 1-bike version with the ability to add a second bike later if desired. Nonetheless, I’d appreciate thoughts if anyone has additional comments to earlier in the thread.
Sidenote - My chainset always ends up filthy after a 7 hour drive on I-95. the last thing I want to do after traveling is re-clean and grease my groupset. However, bike covers like the Velosock seem like they are going to add a ton of drag (which concerns me about the stability of the bike in the rack). Does anyone have any other suggestions?
