Arsenic levels tested in bright colored candies

Since many of us eat candy as part of our intra-ride nutrition, this information seemed applicable. Lately, I’ve been fueling rides with 300-400 calories/hr of trolli bright crawlers. Sometimes I’ll mix in cliff bars, drink mix, or similar. While this news isn’t going to make me throw away my existing bag of trolli’s, I may consider other options moving forward. Obviously there’s a lot more research to be done, but generally if I can avoid even potential risks with minimal>no effort, I often will lean in that direction.
