I noticed that Andrews +1 is leveled 6.6 and Bays +1 is leveled 6.8 for endurance. They are 90 minutes at 0.73 and 0.75 IF respectively. They are way above anything else at 90 minutes. The next highest is James, which is 90 minutes at 0.73 IF and leveled 5.3. When I look at endurance rides that are 2 hours long Overlook is 2 hours at 0.75 and is 6.6.
It seems like Andrews +1 and Bays +1 were maybe supposed to be leveled at 5.6 and 5.8 which would put it more in line with the other 90 minute rides.
I’m not privy to TR exact rating methodology but I suspect they’re right, I would anyway find something with changes intensity and sprints harder physically than a long steady session. Although the latter may be considered boring and mentally harder
Seems close enough to me… Bays is @ 75% FTP + 4 x 20 sec @ 180% FTP. Overlook you are doing 73-74% FTP + 4 x 10 seconds at 200% but for 30 more minutes.
But I do my endurance rides outside so my endurance PL is inconsequential.
I have to agree with @HLaB here. Andrews +1 and Bays +1 both have 4x 20-second sprints, which does make them quite a bit more challenging than workouts such as James, which are steady throughout the entire workout.
Overlook also has some sprints. They’re shorter at 10 seconds each but harder at 200% FTP (vs. 180%).
This goes to show that there is more than just Intensity Factor taken into account when creating Workout Levels.
