Only duration is shown on the calendar entry and no TSS. IIRC old calendar entries also showed TSS and it was already mentioned here some time ago that new calendar doesn’t show the TSS value on the daily entries and it was confirmed that it will be added.
Now that some time has passed I wonder if it a resolution thing on my side (but I guess using standard iPad safari browser should affect many people) or if it has not been realized yet.
Anyone else have planned workouts disappear from the calendar for the week?
I don’t follow a TR plan and mostly use “custom” workouts. They keep disappearing and I’ll add them again, then a few hours later. They are not on the calendar.
This is caused by the zoom and resolution settings of your browser. On the old calendar, it was possible to cause a display bug on small screens where the TSS overflowed out of the calendar item’s boundaries. We’ve fixed this on the new calendar and still prioritize showing as much data in all scenarios as possible, but on some small widths we truncate the information to maintain legibility.
I would love to know more about this, as it’s certainly not intended behavior, nor something I’ve heard any other reports of. What platform (app, web, etc) are you adding the workouts from, and what process are you using to add them?
I’m using an iPhone, utilizing the TestFlight TrainerRoad app. iPhone is updated with the latest iOS 18.
The planned workouts disappearing were either created in TrainerDay, or were once scheduled by a coach through TrainingPeaks. I saved them in my favorites because I’ll use them certain times of the year.
Let me know if you need any more information, thanks for the quick reply!
Thanks—this means it’s likely not an issue specific to the new calendar (which is web-only and not in the apps). I’ll have our engineers take a look and see if they can find the source of the problem. Sorry to hear this is happening!
Ive had this happen numerous times with custom workouts that i had once synced over to TR from my TP calendar. It only happens when i try to (re-add) this same workout from my custom workouts folder to a calendar date one day or more out. I assumed it was just TR not liking the pre synced workouts being added manually.
I use an 11 inch iPad and in safari I need to reduce zoom from standard 100% to the smallest possible zoom of 50% in order to see any more data than duration for the runs.
On 75% still only duration is shown for the runs (because the next item would be distance which is still too long).
On 50% … now its duration, distance and tss shown.
If you would change the order and put tss before distance then it would at least be possible to see duration and tss for runs on 75% and maybe even 85%.
The way it is now is bad UI design at least for the runs.
I dont know if this is an intended behavior or not, but I had a planned strength training workout, and when I associated it with the workout that was imported from strava, it didn’t show up as a strength training workout, only an ‘other’ workout, and when I disassociated it from the workout, it totally changed my planned strength training workout to an ‘other’ workout, and got rid of working sets i had put it. I’m just going to put in the planned workout again and mark it as complete and delete the imported one, but i figured id mention something here to see if it was a bug. Thanks!
Hi Sean, are these still being worked on? It’s been a few months now. I’m having other issues with plan builder. Frustration is mounting. Hoping your multisport folks get some love!
Hey Dan, the original issues were all addressed and resolved in as much as we could find them. If you’re still seeing issues, can you DM me examples? We can take a look.
I will DM you. The chart at the top of the calendar still does not add up TSS correctly. For my IM last fall it looks like my training was all over the place on that graph, apparently run TSS is not being added in even though it shows on the weekly totals.
I’ve had it happen numerous times in Firefox, so I don’t think it’s browser specific. Seems to be related to having multiple tabs open of TrainerRoad in different parts of the calendar, when I’m comparing rides, then clicking for more details.
