🎉📅🎉 Announcing the New and Improved Calendar! 🎉📅🎉

Same. Just want to search by keywords.

Only partially related, when building a training plan can I move forward blocks as I deem appropriate (e.g. starting with build instead of base)?

I plan my weeks, usually in a browser (Safari) and a few weeks ago they updated the way the calendar works. I thought I’d get used to it. I have not. It’s absolute trash. They took a good product, that was easy to use, easy to copy workouts, easy to make adjustments or swap things around and made it cumbersome and full of unneeded clicks.
Is there a way to revert back? This is terrible.

Hey there. I’m really sorry to see you’re frustrated with the new calendar! There really shouldn’t be anything that takes more clicks on the new calendar—we’ve built it to make things more efficient, not less. Just out of curiosity, are you aware of the right-click functionality? You can copy, delete, and edit workouts with a single click this way.

Well, I decided to give TR another go (already cancelled the renewal for next month but that’s another story)

Spotted a couple of bugs with the new calendar on mobile devices (both Android and iOS).

First of all, trying to select a month from the picker at the top left is flaky. Jan, Feb and Mar are sometimes greyed out, and clicking on the other months often does nothing.

Secondly, I have activities I did earlier in the year (both on TR and outdoor workouts pulled from Garmin) that are showing as uncompleted on both mobile devices, but completed in the desktop calendar.

For example, this is the same week on my Android phone compared to my desktop calendar (w/c/ Mar 18 2024)

A workout I did last night appears in both, however.

Issue appears on both Android and iOS apps, and both appear to be up to date.

Hey there! Thanks for the heads up.

Just for accuracy’s sake, I should point out that the new calendar is only on the web at TrainerRoad.com. The calendar updates we made did not affect our apps.

That said, it does look like you’ve found some unintended behaviors. By design, the app only loads up the past 6 months of your training, but it should not show activities before that as incomplete. Likewise, the date picker should only offer to jump you back 6 months, but it should work consistently within that timeframe.

I’m forwarding these items to our app team to take a look. Glad to have you back on TR!

So, just to clarify, the new desktop calendar no longer works on mobile devices in a browser, and the calendar in the app only goes back 6 months? (and is pretty unusable anyway)

Guess you didn’t see the part about how I’ve already cancelled my renewal after my free month (that you gave me last time I tried TR and everything went wrong) is up?

I now see that I overlooked that part of your message in my focus on checking out the issues you’d reported. I’m really sorry to hear this.

The reason I wanted to check back several months is because you’re not only no longer syncing my activities with Strava, but my previous activities appear to have been removed from there too. I thought I was going insane when looking for activities…

Really can’t fathom why it should be restricted to 6 months. FYI, you can scroll back much further than 6 months without using the date picker - what would I expect the app to display prior to May 21st?

This is unintended behavior in the app, and our app team is looking into it. You should not be able to scroll back further than 6 months.

Can you DM me more context on this? I don’t know of any issues on our end that should be affecting your ability to sync to Strava and I’d love to get this fixed for you outside of this thread.

I’ve already spoken to support and a ticket was created. Still ongoing. Agent attempted to push last nights activity manually but still not appeared.
Don’t even use Strava but need it to sync with intervals, and kinda need those old activities back. I’ve also requested a GDPR bulk download, hopefully that won’t be too onerous to pull into Intervals manually (sigh)

I just touched base with our support team and they’re on the case. I’ll continue to check in with them to make sure everything gets resolved for you. They will reach out to you as they progress, but feel free to DM me for any updates. None of your activities are lost; we’ll get the syncing sorted out.

Hi TR team. I’d expect events should be sorted by event date. maybe they’re sorted by created date currently? Thanks

I’m just wondering if there’s any plan to make the “current week” view consistent in behaviour with the new calendar?

The way it is now, the current week is shown in a way that makes it LOOK like a calendar, but it has none of the features (eg: side drawer, right click). I often find myself navigating first to the career page, seeing my current week, and then wondering why I can’t do any of the things that the calendar lets me do.

Hey @adski!

Thanks for raising this! I’ll pass this onto the team.

I am able to reproduce the first image from Plan Builder.
For the second image, can you please explain where you are viewing this from?

Thanks!

Not at the moment, but I’ll pass your feedback onto the team! :+1:

Is there a way to copy/paste whole weeks in the new calendar? If so I cant find the option. If not, I would like this functionality back from the old calendar.

Otherwise its really cool.

There is! Click the “quick actions” button in the summary column at the far right.

Looking for some info on why such a small adaptation was sugested (cant find an generic topic just for plan adaptation suggestions and this is to short for a new topic).

I’ve changed my sheduled wo this week from thursday to monday (yesterday). Monday was a no wo day on my plan. Set today as the no wo day and moved the today wo to thursday. Didnt change the wednesday planned wo.
The wo done yesterday was completed with no issue and after completed got this suggestion to change the wednesday wo:

Looking at the new wo suggestion it has the sime time its still an endurance ride and it is quite similar in TSS and IF just a bit more from 31 to 33 TSS and from 0.64 IF up to 0.67 IF.

The thing is that the today workout that I’ve moved to thursday will be a harder workout (sweet spot) and the wo done yesterday due for thursday is an endurance wo. Both with 1h30.

I declined the adaptation because increasing even just a bit the effort on wednesday before my harder wo on thursday might make me be a bit more tired to get the job completly done on thursday.

Did I get this right or should I have sticked with the proposal?
