Altitude Training

Hey Cycling GURUS!!

Last year I did an awesome group ride with some fast riders, I noticed that I was fast on the flats passing guys left and right, but when we hit a hill it was slowmotion for me…


Im 6’1 - 195Pounds

This is not linked to term “altitude training”. The problem here is that you have lower Watt/kg than others (matters on climbs) but still you absolute Watts are quite high (matters on flat).
Your options:

  • lose weight (if you are fine with looking skinny)
  • gain power
  • do both
