Traveling with my family for vacation this past week I brought the 2018 Crux with me to not miss out on training (Cross is coming). I had no issues with the Crux in my Evoc Travel Bag Pro on Southwest on the way to our destination, and didn’t miss any training while we were there. This is probably the 5th round trip where I’ve flown with a bike on southwest, but I normally bring my MTB with me, not the CX bike.
When we returned home I went to take the bike out of the bag and found that my drive side seat stay is now broken carbon, however I have found no damage to any other part of the carbon fork / frame, carbon wheels, other components, or bag itself.
I switched my long-standing velosurance coverage a week ago to cover the CX bike just in case something like this happened, but would appreciate any advice others have when it comes to dealing with southwest, or velosurance claims please.
