I’ve got 2 crits on Saturday, one at 8 AM and one at 1 PM. I have done crits back to back but never with this big gap between them. Seeking advice about what to do between the crits. When should I eat? Stretch? Do activation with bands? Do a second set of openers? I get that my mileage may vary, so what would YOU do?
That is a big gap. I’d approach the second one like it was the only one. In other words, after the first one I’d just do what I’d be doing 4 hours leading up to a typical crit. Fuel, chill, same warmup, etc… It’s kinda like the first one didn’t happen.

I took a nap after the first race, ate, did some activations, did a warm up, and raced. Felt decent! Would do it exactly the same way next time.
