I tried searching for a answer. But did not find what I am searching for.
Is there a option for adding time to the warmup. Im not a fan of hard starts, and would like to add more warmup time.

I canāt see the extend warmup button when looking in windowsā¦
Iām an apple user. No pc . Maybe @eddie or contact support.
Can you show us a screenshot of what youāre seeing?
The option is available while you are in the first and last interval of the workout, you are given the opportunity to extend the warmup in one, five, and ten-minute increments.
Ah, is it only whilst youāre doing the workout? I was looking in advance at my calendar at a future workoutā¦
there are, however, some workouts (like Black) which do not have an āextend warmupā option, which is a bit annoying for us old farts who canāt do anything in 3:00 minutes : )
I always get on the trainer and pedal for about 5 min before starting the workout. Then hop off. Being old, Iām always forgetting something. Fan ,IPad , water food, heart rate monitorā¦.
In the workout shown, I consider the first three intervals (stepping up) to be the warmup. Do the extend interval buttons work in each of those? Personally, on some tougher workouts with shorter warmup progressions, I like to repeat the whole warmup. In Wahoo Systm, I could do that by dragging the progress indicator back to where I wanted it which was very handy.
Thatās probably why I never noticed those buttons. Iām never thinking about or looking to extend that first low power interval. Itād be during or after the higher power warmup intervals that Iād realize I need more. Sometimes Iām fine with the warmup as is, but it isnāt until Iām just about done with the warmup block that I know.
I usually extend the warmup in the low zone1 section, but then ramp up the % to get it into zone2 for at least a bit of it⦠before the strong warmup sections start.
I do believe if you click pause, you can move the progress bar back in time (or ahead) to redo the section, it unfortuneatly will then overwrite that part of the workout with the new data (I believe from past reading/podcasts?). I have only used to skip / scrub ahead during extra long recovery sections when short of time
On PC, yes. On the phone appā¦itās not always there
Thanks TrekCentury,
Been using TR for years and have not even looked at that part of the screen. Usually just start peddling and go.
can it also be used to extend rest interval between hard intervals if things become too hard for VO2max / threashold sessions?
is there a way to this in zwift?
Do you know if, in those situations, there would have been an option on the desktop app?
I do believe that, as you mentioned earlier, there are some workouts where you donāt have the option to extend the warmup..
Not that Iām aware of. ![]()
Dexter, no there isnāt a button option for that. You can pause workout and scrub back in time by click/drag of the current position line to move it back in time (will overwrite the data for the section you are redoing). Not sure how that effects WO scoring ,TSS/IF, AI view of the training and effects similar to a āpauseā?..
