With ‘Coach Chad’ in the studio!
Don’t think so.
The focus is “getting faster” (why I rate TR above all else). Entertainment would be a step towards the center, ZWIFT, FulGaz and others. This is where TR stands out.
With a worldwide users profile? Cause of time zones I don’t see that happen.
That sounds horrible! Put the bike in front of a 50” TV and watch movies, shows and stream YouTube. Entertainment is endless these days.
No one at TR is expecting you to just look at the blue graph and nothing else. They go with a “bring your own entertainment” idea. Have a laptop or TV in front of your trainer and put on movies, TV shows, bike races, youtube shows, etc. to pass the time. After some trial and error you’ll figure out what you can watch at different workout intensities without have too much cognitive load.
Is Coach Chad going to be drinking a beer and encouraging us through all of our workouts from now on???
Group workouts without a doubt. Amber posted this on her IG story.
“We’re in this together”—could it be more obvious?
Can’t wait!
in that case, need to go and look for new friends…
Group workouts don’t really make sense to me. I don’t see what that brings to the table in helping us get faster, but I could be wrong. I’m hoping it’s more in the way of more advanced performance analytics. Things like ftp predicting from previous efforts, fatigue measurements, etc.
Maybe not directly, but If it motivates people to not blowoff workouts, helps them get through sets w/o quitting, etc. it will make people faster.
Coincidence or coordinated? ![]()

Less than 2 hours away, whatever it is from Ray.
Not discounting your opinion here, I personally probably won’t use group workouts myself really (if that’s what it is). But there are always comments that pop up about making TR more social and comparing it to zwift. So I don’t envy being in a position where there’s always going to be a portion of folks who don’t really care about a particular new feature. It’s like the old adage, you can’t make everyone happy all the time.
FWIW, I am putting my money on a adaptive training program that will recommend adjustments to your workouts.
For those of us relatively new to TR, was Thing One the Plan Builder? If this announcement is similar in magnitude, this is indeed worth being excited about.
Good god…I’m not going to get any work done today, am I? ![]()
I think “Thing 1” is the entire Training Calendar, which includes Plan Builder as one part of that. It’s all part of the training plan bucket which is the foundation and primary history of TR.
For those who follow Nate, John e DCray on Strava, it’s not really “misterious”.
They are doing the same workouts starting at the same time. So thats that.
