Zwift Integration (Xert got there 2nd)

Its no mess running both if you have bt and ant+ but off course just launching one app and not having to delete one wo on strava each time you use both it would be better.

Yup, I’ve been doing this for 7 years. Just annoys me having to open two platforms and then delete one workout file from training peaks, one from Strava etc. First world problems but this makes it simpler and when I’m time crunched in the morning, it all helps.

@Jonathan with an interesting Insta story. :eyes:

Hell hath finally frozen over :stuck_out_tongue:

Now i want a training plan for zwift racing during the winter
Would be perfect! :ok_hand:

For real. I remember past podcasts where riding around volcanos was dis’ed and was said the distraction is not good for training. Welp, i guess it is good.

funny, this is a feature that everyone has been asking for for YEARS, but when xert releases it, you release it? Stop trying to make us believe that you wanted to perfect your plans first pls, ridiculous

Zwift only released their training api in late summer. When Zwift announced it in the spring, TrainerRoad said they would be working on utilizing it.

You might want to review some of the facts regarding how this feature came about before slagging on people publicly.

I like how he made it look like his first time signing up, but then in the next clip you see he’s already level 25 with a decked out bike and wheel combo.

I’m also fanboy enough to immediately add him as a follow on zwift once I saw that story.

I honestly have no idea what you’re trying to say here. First you complained that it took too long to be doable, then it was pointed out that the functionality just became doable, and then you replied that you could do it before.

Can you clarify the point you’re trying to make?

trainerroad refused to allow us to download workouts and import them into zwift, do you use trainerroad?

TR opened the recreation of their workouts into other platforms around 4 years ago.
So that option to do it manually (even into Zwift) has been available for a long time.

I know for a fact that he and most of us do use it and are familiar with many of the related nuances.

that’s why we had to use this reddit post to download our workouts? Reddit - Dive into anything

I am not familiar with that hack, but essentially ‘yes’ AFAICT.

Sorry, I still don’t understand. You previously said

But now you’ve said

I thought you were saying you didn’t like that TR didn’t allow us to send workouts to Zwift automatically (which was true). But then you said that you could download them before so it didn’t matter (which I don’t think was true). And now you’re saying you couldn’t download them before.

I’m honestly not trying to argue, I just wonder if you misspoke in there somewhere, or if I’m just missing your point.

I noticed on @Jonathan’s ride yesterday the zwift screen shot looks like it includes the workout text from TR. that’s a great feature and probably an additional complication for TR integrating vs some others

The text instructions are already supported in the .zwo format and Zwift, so it should not require too much development.

I hope however that Zwift will remove the rounding of power targets to the nearest 5 W. That is at least a reason for me to not use it.
