X-Tri Training Plan

Hello,

I’m prepping to do an X-Tri called Ascend in france this year. It’s rather difficult with ~5000M of climbing over the 180K ride. It has 4 hard climbs the Port of Bales, Peyresourde Pass, Val Louron Azet Pass and col d’Aspin. Then there is a bunch of running. I’ve used TR to train for IM and Xtri events in the past but they were not quite this big climb heavy. Do you think I should put that this is a fulld distance IM in plan builder or should I treat it as a climbing road race/Gran Fondo and build to longer endurance rides with the new AI feature?

Awesome - I was eyeing Ascend. It looks like a beast of a race. I would probably do the full distance plan.

I signed up for the Celtman Solo 0.5 this year and am using a 70.3 plan structure as a starting point. I am planning to just add a bit more time to my long rides/ runs.
