Custom Training Plan

I have a 300km, 5,550m of ascent ride in June. I plugged this race into TR to build a custom plan but I am concerned the only option I had was to input my race duration, not distance or ascent or any mention of terrain.

I set my plan to ‘aggressive’ and it seems to have scaled by my training from what I was previously following How well are the custom plans designed? Should I not rely on this plan?

That’s correct. For the event you only need to input the estimated duration you think it’s going to take you to complete the event and the intensity of the race effort. When you calculate how long this event might take you, you can take into consideration the distance, elevation, etc… but TrainerRoad does not need these specific metrics to create the plan to targets the correct energy systems needed to complete your event.
