Will Trainerroad work on Linux? If not what are the plans as Windows 7 is near "end of life"?

I think it’s a Galaxy Tab A 7", but I’ll confirm tonight. I ended up with it third-hand, but it seems up to the task of running TR. If I’ve noticed anything, occasionally the display is just a bit uneven updating the on-screen workout timer (one second might run a bit long and the next a bit short), but I only noticed that on occasion and it didn’t impact the training session. A 10-inch screen would definitely be nice to have for the tablet. Built-in ANT+ is very nice and has worked flawlessly.

Apologies for the necro thread but I wanted to update anyone interested in this topic that I have what (so far) is a reliable and straightforward solution.

  • Host OS is Ubuntu 20.04 LTS
  • Guest OS is Windows 10 Home (I have it connect to the USB ANT+ key)
  • I always use Titus’ Debloat Windows scripts upon install
  • I am using a Garmin USB ANT+ key via USB-C (it shows as “Dynastream” in Host and Guest OS)
  • The TrainerRoad drivers did NOT work but I did enable .NET Framework 3.5
  • Windows Update found the driver that finally caused this to work

Hope that helps.
