Why aren't my workouts progressively harder levels?

I am doing a Zwift Racing plan, 3 days a week, in the build phase. Looking forward to my specialty phase and towards the end, none of the workouts (VO2, SS and Threshold) go beyond my current levels.

Currently I am at a

VO2: 6.9

SS: 5.1

Threshold: 3.3

And the highest the plan gives me by the end is:

VO2: 5.8

SS: 4.9

Threshold: 3.0

Why is there no progression? And my “predicted FTP” is to go down 1-2% which I get because the plan goes down. I have nailed all the workouts, rate RPE appropriately (almost never failing or 10 on RPE), and even have a bit of steam at the end to finish my Zwift route that I am on. Why no progression when I am paying money for a plan to progress me? @Jonathan @Nate_Pearson

Past 28 days the workouts are just place holders, what they say today means nothing.

Are you talking about workouts in the coming few weeks or 2 months out? Even the coming weeks it will still adjust as you progress, don’t hyper focus on what it says this morning it may change this afternoon once you do a workout.

Play with the sliders for the training approach see if going more aggressive or easier works for your predicted ftp. If it works moving it one way as a while then do the individual and see what happens. Refine it.

Your workouts will adapt over time. As @mrtopher1980 mentioned, it’s really hard to look too far into the future, as everything that happens between now and then (training, rest, workout performance, fatigue, etc.) will affect what workout we’ll actually prescribe once that day comes.

Let me know if you reach a workout that you think isn’t appropriate for you, and I’ll take a look.

Keep in mind, though, not every workout is going to be a higher level than the last one. :chart_increasing:

Can you explain to me where I find the Sliders for training approach? im not seeing them

Totally get that. And I will learn to be patient, haha. Let’s say either

  1. the end of the plan plays out exactly has it is written now

or

  1. it makes some changes, but still the “levels’“ are never higher than where I am at today

despite me nailing all the workouts,….why would that be the case? I can see it prescribing down if workouts aren’t completed or RPE is high but why would the AI model otherwise prescribe down?

Separate question: Will there ever be a world in the new software where we can see a version of what previously was us being able to see “suggested adaptations” and choosing if we want to accept or not? it would be great to see how the AI is “adapting” but as of now we see nothing.

upper corner of current week on calendar it should say like moderate or balanced or agressive, when you over over it says training approach..click that

As of now, I can’t say what the future will look like with any certainty. This new launch is brand new to us, so we’re focusing on that right now.

Hmm. I may have to open a support ticket. I can click on the approach, but then it just opens up an explanation of the current training approach and doesn’t show me any sliders. It I try to move my mouse to the pop up that says “Training approach”, it just disappears.

You have to click on the little :memo: icon in the bottom left of the page to open another window witch contains the adjustment slider.

Got it - thanks! Man, they went all-in on moving stuff around. The UI changes are a bit much, IMHO. Anyway, thanks again.

Same, it doesnt offer any sort of customization. Which I understand since the plan is already in the works. but what “sliders” are people “adjusting?”

now is see it, thanks
