Ramp test yesterday…needless to say its not pleasant.
Mildly disappointed at static FTP, but not surprising as training mojo has been missing for 3 months
Straight into 1hr 30 threshold ride tomorrow…

Wright peak -5, done and dusted
Only two workouts left till a rest week
Three Sisters was in my Calendar tonight and I decided to run TR on my phone controlling ERG and have an RGT session reading watts on the laptop. The last two workouts I’ve ran TR on the laptop so I could quickly toggle to resistance if I need to. I was feeling a bit more confident tonight to let the phone/TR/ERG control things. I let my cadence fall a wee bit too much in the 1st block but ground out of the spiral of death. The next two blocks felt more comfortable though ![]()
Plan called for Mount Goode -4 this morning. I noticed I had an old Zwift custom workout that was pretty close to it, so I did that. (3x12’ at 95%) Even though these are really doable for me outdoors, I’ve really struggled with threshold workouts on the trainer. Today was the first time I did one in erg mode, and I think it was a big help just focusing on keeping my cadence up.
Nice effort ![]()
May I make a suggestion? ![]()
Tray Mountain -2 - it was a good workout - tough, HR got pretty high in later parts of the intervals

No out side ride for me so I went to the virtual world of RGT. I had a look at TrainNow’s suggestions, they were all for Endurance rides which looked a bit flat and boring. But bearing its suggestion I looked in the database for a more entertaining Endurance ride. That led me to Bays +1. My cadence is a bit variable as I let RGT control the resistance so I had a gradient range of +11% to -11% ![]()
