What workout did you do today? (2020, part 2)

3 x 21min @95% and the 2hrs @68%… Tough… Good to see so many people nailing their workouts too!!

Bondcliff -3
Just seeing how the legs held up with a sweetspot session… DOMs @40% of what its was like the other day, felt cramping in left calf before second sprint so gave that one effort a skip, felt good before third sprint so committed, all in all a good session though I might not be able to climb stairs later…

Several different shirts on Zwift France session, green to orange, shows how quiet it was out there if I start getting multiple outfits per ride!

Does anyone else look forward to the easier rides but then once you’re in it you’re just like, “Uuuuugh when will this end…”?

change the channels

5x15@97% with 3 min brakes, one of my benchmark workouts to assess physical and mental fitness. It went quite ok, hr was in norm and stable through all intervals, reaching threshold HR during lat intervals.

Yes! Totally the same — I did Polar Bear because I loved it so much last week.

This time after the first 90 minutes I was not enamored anymore. Lol.

Wow. That looks so hard. Good job.

I changed my left cleat at a bike shop after needing to replace it mid ride just under a month ago. My left knee hasn’t been 100% since. A sharp pain which would get better after a session  I was convinced I had set up the cleat wrong and tried micro adjusting but I could only get my knee perfect with my ankle brushing off the crank. I was also getting a click, click, click when I went over 100rpm. The last tweak saw it get louder and at cadences over 92rpm.
During tonight’s Pettit session I got think about it and realised 3months ago before the possible redundancy stresses, my ex coach had suggested I add a angled shim to the right cleat on my road bike which has done wonders. So I added one to my TT shoe and did a 5 minutes recovery to test. Silence at all cadences :grinning:

Eclipse - 62 minutes of sweetspot
Smashed it and felt great :muscle:t2:

Thank you:) I will not deny - it is hard but working just under FTP causes it is doable at every moment with some progression and mental state.

Down day endurance. Easy peezy despite some warmer temps today. Definitely glad today wasn’t TT day! Legs still feeling pretty sharp going into rest day.

Carson +1 yesterday evening. A bit tough, but ok.

Fang Mountain +1 yesterday.
I really like over unders. Second week of sustained power build and so far everything is going great.

I’ve been taking all of my endurance outside recently but today the weather is dreadful, so I opted for this instead.

Antelope -4:

Sweet spot ‘n’ chill. Met somebody doing Kaweah up the Alpe, gg!

In the office today, so went for a run. I like to do it every now and again to remind myself how stupid running is.

Monitor + 1 , I looked back when i last did this workout and it was about 2 years ago ! i had 46W more and the same average hart rate , TRAINERROAD WORKS

Great workout that. Be interested to see how you find Carpathian Peak +3. That is the toughest Unders/overs I’ve encountered so far in my short time on TR.

Next week is Carp.Peak +1. 3x15 ^^ looking forward to it.
