What type of sunglasses are you guys wearing?

I’ve used Flak 2.0 and liked those a lot, not having the frame on the bottom is nice and they are very light. The lenses got too scratched to use so I’m wearing 100% Speedtraps right now. They feel cheap compared to the Oakley’s, the quality is certainly lower, but they perform really well and the visibility is great. I got mine for $130, half what I would be into Oakley’s so, I’m happy enough.

Oakley Flightjackets. And Sunto - Iridiums all round.

Oakley Jawbones 99% of the time, though with generic EBay lenses after the originals got too marked. For special occasions I break out my original (1992?) Sub Zeros; they’re so much better but a little fragile for daily wear now.

Did the same and bought some inexpensive Jim Halo’s which are not available on Amazon anymore. They fit and feel great at a fraction of the price of the more expensive glasses.

I have Oakley Jawbreakers with Black Iridium and the photochromatic (clear) lenses…but honestly I grab my Oakley Frogskins (black iridium) more often for full sun. I keep the photo chromatics lenses in the Jawbreakers and use them for not full sun.

Can’t be bothered to change lenses anymore.

I’ve used Oakley’s for 30+ years (First pair I ever bought were OG Eyeshades due to Lemond, then blades due to snowboarding, both late 80s.). If I’m wedded to any company it is them. I know and trust their lenses endlessly at this point.

My first and only are still a pair of Maui Jim Wassup wrap style sunglasses that I’ve had since 2015. Work great even on fast descents, including a bunch of 15-45 minute descents in the Sierra mountains. Upgrading to progressive lenses today…

On Saturday I tried on the Rudy Project (you can now get Rx lenses) and Oakley Flak 2.0 XL (also Rx lens friendly). Seem nice, maybe I’ll pick up a pair next year. For now its still “one pair of sunglasses to rule them all” lol.

I use Dual Eyewear SL2 Pro bifocal sunglasses. Without the bifocal I can’t read my computer . That eliminates a lot of brands for me.

Rudy Project Defender in Red (with Clear to Red Photochromic lenses). They turn heads for sure.

Using some AliExpress POC Aspires, they’re fantastic for the $20 or so I paid for them. I also don’t need to worry if they get ruined.

Radarlock with trail prizm lens and a pair of half-jackets with clear lens. Prizm stuff is great in da woods.

Oakley Jawbreakers usually with a photochromic lens, as I usually start most outdoor rides in the dark. I also have a Prizm lens for rides that start in the light.

Not the lightest, but they offer great protection.

Another vote for Tifosi. I’ve had 2 pairs of the Dolomite 2.0 over about 12 years, about to buy my third. They tick all the boxes for me- relatively inexpensive, easy lens change, comfortable and don’t dry out my contacts. Other people occasionally ask me what kind they are, so I’m assuming stylish as well haha.

I’m surprised that there hasn’t been as much love for Roka on here. I stick to the phantom alloys with my prescription and photochromic lenses for daily/lifestyle/running/cycling, pretty much anything that the day might throw at me. Not to mention they’re more comfortable and secure than any other glasses I’ve used before. The other pro is that my wife can bear to be in public with me wearing the aviator style glasses as opposed to my previous pair of mirrored shield style glasses with a prescription insert.

Graphene Rudy Project Defender w/ the photochromatic lenses. Moved over to these from jawbreaker knockoffs from aliexpress with replacement authentic oakley prism lenses. Love the coverage and quality of the lenses as well as the adjustability which the oakleys don’t have any of.

Roka SR-1 got them $50 off with some Strava challenge.

I’m guilty of buying fake POC sunglasses for $15 shipped. Came with three lenses and a case. 2 years and still working besides having to tighten up a few screws every once in a while. This is the only knock off I’ve ever purchased because I fully understand it’s ethically not cool. I only wear glasses on my bike and will never pay more than $20 for sunglasses. I just can’t do it.

For those with narrow faces, what have you found that fits? Tiffossi seem to be the only company I’ve found that make frames for cranially challenged people like me

Clever Training is running 25% off most of their sunglasses, including every popular Oakley pair I just looked at. There’s something weird going on with their website for the Jawbreakers, but they have a decent selection of 2019s left if you’re in the market.

I had 57 CT VIP points about to expire on Sunday, so I scored a brandy-new pair of Oakley Radar EV Path w/ Prizms for $57 after discount and points, with free shipping.

In the past, I’ve been happy with my Rudys, specifically the Ekonyx. I’ve had several pairs over the years, but recently I’ve become annoyed with the thick frame at the top which restricts my visibility with my head down (sprinting, low in the drops, or TT). Thought about the Flight Jackets, but couldn’t get past the look.

Do you know if the prescription lenses accommodate spherical lenses with -3.75? Roka looks cool.
