I have noticed that several recent skiing activities have had wonky maps show up in the calendar view and when I look at activity. I was curious as to whether anyone has figured out how to fix it? I know it’s not important, but it just looks weird (and the maps are correct in both Garmin and Strava).

Could you post an example of what you’re seeing?
Is this on the web or the app? Everything I’m seeing on your calendar via the web looks good to me.. 
So I just went to check now, and the maps look correct. It was odd, as yesterday, any of the lift served skiing activities at Stowe were showing a start point in the ocean, and a long straight line to land. While others, and touring activities, along with cycling and zwift, were all correct.
I had the exact same thing from a ski last week - started at Lake Louise and finished in the Pacific. Mine is also corrected.

I get this sometimes for walks or hikes on the web calendar
