Weight loss accountability buddy or thread discussion

I used the google docs spreadsheet link way up at the start of the thread, is that still the correct one? It doesn’t seem to have any dates past May 2021 Weekly Check In - Google Sheets

Ok so the old spreadsheet doesn’t go as far as this data and a lot of the people involved then are not piping up in the current momentum. No problem, does anyone have issue with me starting a new one? I am not a google sheets whizz kid but can start a new one or someone could edit the old one to have a fresh start if no objections! Cheers!

Go for it.

Just make a duplicate of the existing 2021 sheet and amend the names and weights.

i use the garmin scale

Excellent thanks. I’ll get mine started tomorrow morning.

I’m in too. I was told this season “lose thirty pounds and I’ve got a spot for you on my team.” That’ll deflate your ego real fast.

I’m in too. I’m in need of some accountability to get my weight moving in the right direction. Cheers for setting this up.

I was in a similar position, but have found that rather than focusing on food/cardio output I wanted to work on my core strength and have overall strength gains to prevent lower back issues in the cyclocross season, and besides really noticing and enjoying the functional strength capabilities and progressions in my ability to do higher reps/weights my body composition has been changing for the better as well! It sort of happened by accident by starting up a very regular vinyasa yoga routine over 2020 and getting comfortable with bodyweight exercises, then going from there. Hope this helps!

Cool! Adding myself to the spreadsheet. Dropping the kg side of w/kg is the most important thing for me…

Thank you for starting this up again.

In the last thread, I was able to meet my weight goals. In the time since, I’ve gone back to square one.

I think this accountability is definitely need for me. Really happy this is going again.

Yep. I was doing really well for a while there, but I started a new job last week and the combined stress of leaving the old one and starting the new one caused a bit of a backslide. That said, really enjoying the new job, plus it’s much, much less stressful, which should be helpful with the binge stress eating.

Lost about .3 kg but it was not at all a steady week. Lots of ups and downs and swings. That’s a bummer … I am glad this thread exists to keep it front of mind. I need to figure out how to get a more consistent downward trend this week rather than such a spiky and unpredictable outcome.

Spiky and unpredictable is normal. Weight fluctuates day to day based on many factors. If you are on track for weight loss the weekly check in will show it.

I’m in too. Frustrated with the lack of results/difficulty changing my eating habits.

I’m in as well. Last time it gave me great results and now I’m fat and slow again. It seems everybody must be able to see it even if they don’t care

I’m rejoining this thread as well. I dropped 12 lbs over 6 months, but once I took my foot of the gas for the off season, I noticed I’m back up a few lbs. and not super thrilled about it. I’m only 10-12 lb off my target weight and still within a healthy BMI, but I feel like the extra weight holds me back on climbs and is an indicator of eating too much junk/sugar.
