Wahoo SYSTM plans to be pulling in outdoor activities by the end of the year. According to David McQuillen’s comment on DC Rainmaker’s SYSTM post, “[SYSTM] will pull in all activities. So if you connect it to Strava, and a swim is on your strava activity feed, then it will show up in the SYSTM calendar.”
Yes, what is a viable product can generally be debated. In our specific case, however, the polling in the post you replied to, with 29 respondents, shows 93% of users are in favor of simply showing the runs with simple visualization.
If actual user experience factors into what is a viable product, it’s not much of a debate in this case. So I keep hoping TR does a small beta for us triathletes and gets something simple running, lest we extend this thread another 3 years into the future without anything tangible.
same boat but i did get a treadmill a couple of weeks go and now literally swap shoes when i jump off trainer onto treadmill. should have gotten one years ago
I keep seeing stuff from them, but it’s in private beta, so no real information. At least there appears to be competition on the way. I just hope these AI services aren’t priced like an actual coach.
The sad part is that TR could have had a huge head start on these other new services, but will now be playing catch up (if they ever release this feature that is).
I didn’t realise TR didn’t have this function when I signed up - having things auto-sync these days has become part and parcel of most apps. Having to use a third-party app to work out TSS for run/swim really takes away from the brand of TR and lets it down. There are some good features I’ll be using during my 12 month stay with TR - but I’ll def be keeping my eyes open for other similar apps that offer the full kit for all three disciplines.
Given up home to be honest … It looked promising a few months back when @Nate_Pearson got involved and asked what was minimum people wanted…then nothing.
I have paid TrainerRoad account and a basic (free) Training Peaks account. The only reason for the TP account is so that I can get my Swim and Run TSS from Training Peaks and enter it manually into TrainerRoad. Surely this can be automated like cycling! Please look at this feature request. The tri plans in TrainerRoad add swim and run workouts but cannot sync these from Garmin once complete! If it did I (and many others I imagine) would not need the Training Peaks account anymore.
Hi @IvyAudrain , thanks so much for giving us this message, it’s very meaningful to hear from you!
The increase in prio suggests the poll had some impact, it gives me hope!
