UK users looking for a Lasko fan, check this out... Thanks to Hugo1!

Glad I saw this, thanks for the heads up, just ordered a second one. Very pleased with the first.

All sold out now.

Gary, if you did eventually offer a remote control, then bear in mind that customers may well be using multiple fans simultaneously…

Ideally, the remote would offer:
(i) ON/OFF & 1-3 speed control;
AND (ii) control of multiple (eg. up to 4?) fans all from a single remote.

This latter bit might sound a bit complex but it’s not really. It’s pretty similar to the remote control plug sockets you can buy where a single remote can be paired to multiple sockets, allowing you to control many from just one remote. The underlying “tech” is cheap as chips.

It’d just need adapting slightly, so that fans themselves were paired to the remote control, and this remote had a pair of buttons (OFF and ON/SPEED) for each fan paired to it. The ON/SPEED buttons would just cycle through speeds 1-3 (similar to how some other r/c fans work, such as one I have) of the corresponding fan. And a pair of ALL OFF and ALL ON buttons. So, 5 pairs of buttons in a column, 10 buttons total, in a compact remote, just like in the cheap as chips remote control socket I’ve linked to above!

Hey, if you don’t ask etc…

Used mine for first time last night, absolute gamechanger didn’t need to go above level 1 and very quiet.

I take it you also changed the plug? Great hacking.

This is ace, any chance you could make a kit to do this adaption? I’d buy one if so.

Quick one, how many wires does the switch take, if you recall?

All of this or remote control/blowing nozzle?

Four wires, I use a 5x1.5 cable

For me, the remote control.

It requires a little electrical knowledge and then you are responsible for the device itself, the warranty is probably no longer valid. If you really want a remote control, can we chat somewhere else?

The advantage of training in my small kitchen is that the trainer is right next to the socket, where the fan is plugged into. On/off fan control at arm’s length

Got one 2 weeks ago then saw that they were running out so ordered another on Monday got it yesterday. Used both today whilst doing eclipse, one directed at my chest the other on my head. Why didn’t I get them earlier ,I’m a lot drier and I know these will help a lot with future workouts

Yup, it didn’t work for me either, so sent it back. Customer service was great, so no issues at all with the company.

For me a huge big fan covers more of my body and is better suited for me.
