Thanks for the question this one has been asked a few times so here is how we approached it.
The performance of the unit is identical to the AM1202 this is what was really liked about the fan in the first place. It also uses the same reliable and quiet brushless motor. We kept this the same.
What we did during the development of the Cardio54 is to focus on the users and how we can produce a remote control system that is better than the remote switch many users have been purchasing. We beleive our solution offers a better experience for the user when training.
The remote system we developed is little more advanced than a standard remote and allows the user to change the speed of the fan remotely while training, it also allows each remote to be paired to a specific Cardio54 fan, this benefit allows users to have different speeds from different fans.
The solution should be ideal for users that buy 2 or 3 fans to position around them and also want each fan to be at a different speed and change that speed at different stages of a training session.
The included remote strap also lets you position many remotes on your bike, treadmill or on your wrist.
Overall it should offer a great experience and does look good too!
