Training Cadence and Power Problems.....Desperately Need Help

Thanks, that makes sense. I’ll swap from ANT+ to BT to see if it makes any difference.

Thanks Oreo!!

Im going to take that advice with specific cogs on the cassette and see how it goes.

Ive ridden inside for a few years now, but i would say this is my first year actually training and following a set program. Im very comfortable with a wide range of cadence, and generally understand outdoor bike feel. so i get really frustrated when i know what a certain watt range feels like outdoors and then inside it feels like its barely achievable haha as i said with the example i gave of 234 watts…thats not alot to hold, so when im pedalling and it feels like 350+ watts…Im wondering whats going on. I think im just really not a fan of any of these modes. They feel very unnatural, but i guess unfortunately thats indoor training.

i really appreciate your comments, thank you

What is your cooling situation? How many fans do you have?

With unlimited time, I reckon a lot of people would prefer to only ride outdoors, or at least predominantly outdoors. If I rode outdoors, it’d cut my training time by 30–50 %. It takes me at least 20 minutes one way to get to roads where I can do intervals, and even on those roads there is something traffic.

My cooling situation isnt too bad. i have a 26" commercial fan that i run on high.

Yes with unlimited WEATHER i would train only outdoors haha winter blows! I live on a recreational canal with a bike path that leads to country roads 8 mins away that i go train on, so its pretty quick for me to be able to start right when i leave the house.

Just tried yet another workout…Everything is up to date in my Tacx app with firmware, up to date with trainer road…Calibrated before my ride…no power match…nothing else hooked up…just my trainer and Trainer road. What a disaster!! it must be a lemon of a trainer…Endurance ride at 184 watts. surging everywhere. My power graph looked like a lie detector test. While i was pedalling i could feel surges of resistance coming back in the pedals so the power would go from 184 up to 209 and then start falling back down and fall into the high 160’s to 170’s and then back up into the 190’s and level out and 30 secs later it would surge again. Ready to throw this thing in the dumpster lol.

Problem 100% resolved by switching to BT!

What is BT?

Bluetooth communication channel in stead of ANT+ channel.

You were quick! Yes Bluetooth is working fine for me, but when using the ANT+ connection I kept getting signal dropouts.
