I absolutely love the bike. Zero issues so far (2,000 miles). Super stiff and I have it set up as aggressive as I can get it. Couple things worth noting though. I ordered the bike with the aluminum fsa power box crankset. While the power meter is very accurate, this crankset weighs a ton! Even the carbon version is still not very light. So If I had to order again, I would get the ultegra crankset and buy another, lighter power meter crankset. Which I ended up doing, and shaved 3/4 lb off of the bike. The bike now weighs 17.6 lbs with cages. I still didn’t cut the steerer and I want to get integrated bar/stem, while that combo isn’t very light, it’s still less weight then the stock carbon bar and orbea branded stem. I think between these two things I’ll be sub 17lbs. The carbon vision wheelset is a bit heavy but really not terrible. Probably could add dt 240’s and it would be just right. But, overall I’m very pleased, the bike is fast and super stiff. I would order another one tomorrow if I had to do it again.
I understand the frustration with waiting, I waited 3-4 months. But in the end it was worth the wait.
I’ve got Ultimate CF SL 2016 Ultegra rim brake option. Great bike for the money. I have Giant TCR Pro 2021 disc brake and Specialized Tarmac SL6 Pro rim brake and there is no significant difference between those bikes. I guess SLX is lighet and maybe more comfy than my SL version but still, my bike weight 7.5kg and the cost was less than 10000zł (in $ is around 2.5k). Pretty agressive setup
got my hands on this cervelo s3 (or s series? not sure about the difference) with mavic cosmic pro carbon wheels.
love riding it. it’s a rocket on the flat and feels very good on the climbs too. i’m so happy!
thanks! it’s the mount I used on my old bike. I wasn’t aware there is a specific mount for the cervelo stem. ordered a barfly race direct and hope to get it soon!
Similar I have a 2015 canyon cf slx cost me £3,200 with di2 and weighs 6.7kg! Struggle to see any difference when ride with mates with much more expensive bikes
This will be my 2021 xc race rig. Just picked up this mint 2019 cannondale scalpel World Cup. I was amazed at the unridden condition of this bike snd couldn’t pass it up. Legit dream bike, for me! Switched the bars back to the stock stem/bar combo (not pictured) and am working on getting power so I can do my outdoor workouts on my mtb and road bike.
