How do you like those Reynolds wheels on the Ultimate? I just bought them for my Grail as a road set and hoping I chose a good set.

Picked up my new triathlon bike Friday afternoon. It’s my first triathlon bike, and I’m still awaiting the fit because of COVID, but I’m absolutely in love. Shoulders and back are extremely tight after the weekend though

Also got a power meter, the Garmin Vector 3. In love, so much valuable data

Good to hear you like them.

Yeah, that’s what I’m planning to do. I saw someone here who put some CL50s on their grail and had nothing but good things to say about the setup. I figured what the heck so I bought some deep wheels to ride in some crits next year. I live near some gravel and some nice roads so it’ll be able to just swap whatever wheel I’m for what I’m feeling. I’ll post when I get them on.

Looking to build an Aeroad next year and hope to use these along with it.

I love my Revolt - I’m thinking of getting some Deep road wheels for it and seeing if it feels faster - it may be my N=1 road bike.

Hi, thinking of investing in an Addict frameset. This looks :ok_hand: What depth are the wheels?

Hi, that’s not my bike (unfortunately )
I was replying to the original post.

Hi Marko, how are you getting on with the addict? I’m getting ready to pull the trigger on the 2021 Ultimate frameset when it’s released in a few weeks :crossed_fingers: Are you happy with it? They don’t seem to get a look in for most people. All I read about is S-Works Tarmacs & Emondas at the moment.

Hey! I absolute love it. It’s very light and stiff. Coming from the Cervelo R3 the only way I can describe riding the Addict is “effortless.” My biggest problem is trying to stay easy in recovery and endurance rides as I always find myself wanting to push lol.

I always like that it’s a bit more rare and I don’t see many of them on the road.

That’s great to hear. Thank you. I can see myself having that same issue. I generally do recover rides on ERG mode in TR for that exact reason!

@Marko27 @neilwilks

I rode the 2016 Foil and loved it. Jumped on a Factor to help a shop owner friend get that brand going in 2018. While I have no complaints about the Factor I have always felt the Foil was superior. So, I too am looking at the updated Addict RC or the Foil. Sort of waiting for the 2021’s to come out to see what happens to the 2020’s (thinking marked down). If you guys test rode both why the Addict RC? Even if you test rode both why the RC? A touch lighter, less aero, but the cockpit is amazing. Probably fck’d if you need to change position but, seems like the Foil should have all this integration as well. Insight opinions welcome.

I never road the Foil but I feel the Addict is plenty aero that it kind of checks all the boxes. I don’t follow the product news as closely but isn’t there a new Foil rumored (with integration).

I’m currently searching for a road focused gravel bike to get me through the non summer months. That’s a whole nother level of confusion and too many options!

Hi, glad to hear i’m not the only one considering the Addict RC. I had a 2017 Foil. Lovely bike. I haven’t ridden one yet. A good friend had the Addict RC Pro and loved it before he switched it out for a Venge. For me it hits the balance of Climbing/Aero/Integration/Comfort and the frameset is likely to be more reasonable from a cost perspective than the new S-Works SL7 Tarmac (if you can get get hold of one) which is the obvious alternative for me. I like that it’s Disc only so the design hasn’t been compromised by trying to accommodate both. Reviews of it are consistently excellent as well which helps. I’m told by a couple of LBS that the 2021 versions should be available before the end of August. In the UK you can’t get stock of any 2020 framesets - i’m after the Ultimate so i’m waiting. Costs is expected to be the same as last year for the frameset at least which I like - everyone else seems to be hiking prices at the moment. Appreciate any insights you may have.

If I purchase another Scott it will be my 4th…CR1, 1st gen Addict, 2nd gen Foil. For me the decision between the RC or the Foil will come down to wheels and power meter.

I don’t want anything less than 50mm…and I know nothing of the Syncros brand. The DT Swiss wheels are amazing so I’d be stoked with those. I’ve had a love/hate with Zipp since 2006 so, honestly would like to avoid those but, not a deal breaker. Nor are the syncros. Just haven’t done much research on the current models. I’m sure they are both fine.

As far as PM, I have been riding SRAM eTap for 4 years and Quarq PM’s since the Cinqo. I like the integrated PM’s with SRAM but, have read if you want to change rings you’ll be buying a new PM. Still researching that one but, that would get needlessly costly. And Shimano with the 4iiii…IDK. Years ago 4iiii was really unreliable and when I initially started looking at the Scott 2020 line that turned me off. Doing a little reading it seems like 4iiii has improved.

Dream bike would be a Foil with the RC integrated bar/front end, SRAM with integrated PM, and at least 50mm wheels preferably DT Swiss.

Just took delivery of this beauty today!

S-Works Venge with Ultegra Di2 and a Quarq PM.

About 7,9kg in size 56 with pedals and bottle cages and what not! Still gotta cut the fork, but other than that, super happy! Had a Venge Pro that I crashed and went over to Roubaix 2020. Missed to stiffness and rocket ship feeling that this bike has!

That looks stunning

Absolutely perfect collection. Well done!

New bike day! Love that my kids seem to be picking up on how much I enjoy cycling and want to be like dad! I even have my wife doing TrainerRoad now.

That’s interesting to hear re Sram/PM. I’m planning on buying an Ultimate CF SLX Disc 8.0 ETAP, stripping it to put on the Addict and then selling the frame which would give me 48mm DT Swiss wheels + Force AXS + PM on the Addict at a net cost of £1500 which is amazing value. Still don’t get why very few people even consider the Addict

Finally a C60 in this thread! Very nice

Thanks! The ride is sublime.
