Looks pretty good. Although I’m a bit disappointed that Geraint seems to be like the 4th most capable GC guy. Seems like a 3 man race.

Not watched myself yet but going from the results interesting that pidcock obviously left it all out there - might not just be there to make up the numbers and get some TdF experience - could be part of a 3-pronged attack with Thomas and Yates?
You don’t go that fast in those conditions if you are just there as a domestic and stage hunter.

I don’t think so, today just played to his ability, and he had the best conditions of the day, it was almost dry on the cobbles. The first 50 runners had the bad conditions, the later half of the field were way above their normal placings due to better conditions.
Like last year in the La Vuelta he is there to learn and play a team role / gain experience.
Yates, Thomas and Martinez are their three pronged attack.
Hope Pidcock gets the chance to go for a stage.

+1. I think it’s great though. I mean I understand the need to push tech and all but, good lord that TT5 thing is just hideous.
+1 again. WTH? Obviously they test well but, there must be a limit to how stupid we can possibly look.

- Adam Yates
- Dani Martinez
- Pogacar
- Pinot
- Vlasov
- Haig
- Caruso
IDK…West to SW wind 10-15mph (16-24kph) doesn’t seem like enough to really split it up but, no idea of the roads prior to the last 18km bridge. The bridge runs mostly east west…so who knows. I do think Jumbo and Quick-Step will try to make splits/opportunities. Imo it will be super aggressive.
