The gf decided to sign us up for a 5k (running) race last minute on Saturday (she told me on Friday). I hadn’t run since June, and the last time I ran regularly was over a year ago. 3 days later I’m still extremely sore, but ran a PR of 21:51 (previous PR was 23:25) - not too bad for doing it off the couch. Just goes to show aerobic capacity does carry over into other endurance sports. Thanks TR!
