I have one lame question. I’m using Bontrager Flare RT light. Is any way to mount it to the saddle or any other? With the front one won’t be any problem.
This or they’ll finally address bottles and offer aero bottles you can use daily as well as inegrated storage solutions maybe.
Hmm if I am not mistaken, these can be mounted with GoPro mounts right?
So you could order some custom 3D printed SWAT saddle mount to GoPro. Then mount the Flare to the GoPro?
Great, thanks.
If I needed 40mm of spacers for the Tarmac SL6, do you guys think I could get the SL7 to work for me, given the lower stack? Guessing it should be OK since they say in the FAQ that the ultimate fit is the same. Would I still only have to use 40mm of spacers, given the headset cover?
What about a lower size? I don’t know I’m just guessing
That’s what they said.
Stack is the same after you add the mandatory headset cover.:
How is stack and reach measured on the Tarmac?
- Stack and reach are measured to the center of the top of the headtube as is customary. Although these numbers are different than the Tarmac SL6, the fit geometry is identical between Tarmac SL6, Tarmac SL7, and the Venge.
- Once you compensate for the height of the necessary headset cover on each bike, your stem’s lowest position ends up at the same point in space on all of them.
Per Chad’s post up above.
Starting a build and ordered the BSA SRAM ceramic speed bottom bracket but they are back ordered for a few weeks. For a temporary I am looking at SRAM, is this what I need in 68MM? DUB BSA Bottom Bracket | BB-DUB-BSA-A1 | SRAM
Thank you!
That’s gorgeous! Mind sharing how many spacers you’re using here? Wondering if that’s what my bike would look like.
Thanks! I did see this. Would you mind clarifying which part the headset cover is? Sorry if that’s a stupid question. Is it just the piece that covers the top of the rear of the stem?
Edit: Ignore my stupid ass question. I’m guessing it’s the piece immediately on top of the recessed head tube.
If you look at any picture of it slammed, you will see that there is always still that one black “spacer”. Thats the headset cover. You can see how its “recessed” down (which is what causes the lower stack), but you cant run the bike without that cover, so it effectively brings it up to the same stack height of the SL6.
Hey, thank you for clarifying! I appreciate you answering that silly question. Wonder why they made that change if it results in the same coordinates?
This has probably already been covered but how does the cable routing work on these, D shaped steerer or something else? Pics would be awesome.
SL6 looks like good value all of a sudden
I got a good deal with the sl7 so I will have it at the end of the current month, the pro one red version. I hope I don’t read any messy review before it’s on my hands because I’m excited about it.
YouTube race point elite SL7… I’m sure there’s others but they always do a good job, and in this case show the routing
Was invited for an Sl7 test event today. Had the possibility to try the S-works Sl7 with Dura Ace in de black/green (Better looking under real life) version for about 1,5 hours on a well set route. Combination of small climbs, cobblestones, longer straights, curves in downhills, so a good combination of it all. First impressions: fast, faster, fastest. This bike wants to go, go, go. I am more than the limited factor. Steers great and confident. Bit more harsh in the back compared to my SL6, but I do not think this will be an issue on the 5 hour rides, but will need to see. Testers who came from a Venge stated the contrary compared to their normal ride. Way more compliant. Standing up is really getting the power into the machine. Gets you up to speed in the wink of an eye. Really enjoyed it. It is playful. Really makes fun riding it. Is it the big difference to the SL6. There sure is a difference. Is it 45 seconds? Who will tell. Will need to compare stats after regular rides. Will need to ride more. Will surely do soon.
