Tarmac SL7 Release date

That has ultegra mechanical and only seems to be available outside the US. Ultegra Di2 Expert has the R470 rims.

I want to see the aero numbers with bottles on the downtube. Compared with lots of other aero designs that try to “shield” the bottles from the airflow coming off the front wheel and downtube, it seems like one approach has to be more gooder than the other. E.g., the new 3t Racemax and the Strada and BMC’s aero bike all have fat downtube sections to address that issue.

Was that question about that under the video released by Specialized on YouTube this Tuesday. Guy asked if that 45 s saving is with or without bottles and someone from Spesh answered that with bottles. But it’s just his words, not any specific proof.

As close as you’ll get to a comparison

Pascal Ackermann’s SL7! Wondering why they opted for the CLX64 instead of the new Rapide CLX…

Would that imply that the CLX64 are more aero?

Can be because he just like it more in that way.

At the end of the day it’s a bike, most of us will not find any big difference between that bike and the sl6 or any other bike that’s in the market.

As they have said it’s a bike professionals gonna use on their daily basis, if you ride that bike of the pic and that guy rides your current bike im pretty sure he will wipe your ass with your current bike and you will say oh no must be because of the bike, more aero blabla and it’s not.

He uses tubes (is that the English word for it) and not clinchers. You will see more bikes in this way in races

Don´t you please have other pages? :innocent:
That looks quite interesting… don´t you know if they used the same wheelset for every frame?

You mean tubulars I think

Cuz the new Rapide and Alpinist CLX only have clincher, and CLX 32, 50 and 64 have tubular options. So I think pro will keep CLX50 (tubular). But it’s another if Sponsor ask them to use the latest wheels.

I think it is this link

Just bought an SL6 on the basis that not a lot seems to have changed… Will hold on to see what the SL8 brings

Its gonna get more interesting from now on I think, since Specialized pretty much shot themselves in the foot by killing the Venge. All eyes on the Tarmac from now on so they better do some revolutionary stuff next time

Bikes are probably gonna stagnate from now on. More aero every year but not lighter. 5w per release or so…

So the consumer is gonna end up with 13,000usd of color change every iteration :stuck_out_tongue:

Wonder if everyone else will kill off there aero bikes.

All of the reviews say that the Venge will still be available as a frameset. When will it be back in stock? Are the new colors coming?

But only in S-Works version (and price).

I would love to see some real life pictures of the SL7 Expert level in gray/smoke color way. Anyone have pics or can find a good example already out there?

I just bought the SL6 last week, and shop will allow me to trade it in for the expert…it’s on order and should be here next week. Not sure it’s worth the upgrade. I have just started riding again this spring after a year or 2 off. I used to do triathlons, but than had a kid. I really like the SL6, but wonder if hiding the wires is worth the extra coin!

Here is a picture I found from a local bike shop. Kind of hard with the black background.

45 seconds faster over 40km, lighter, stiffer, more aero tube shapes but also more compliant. Just a guess.

Not so sure about that, every review tells it is harsher.
