Tarmac SL7 Release date

I know that this wheelset is used tubeless by some users…Specialized wont advice this but it is possible.

You can always go to YouTube and follow the steps that you will find over there, I wouldn’t but it’s up to you.

I rather no tubeless tbh.

ok for the non S-works folks. I just joined this site just to tell you guys what I saw…

sport / comp - still sl6 frame. didnt bother to look at since it was sl6

expert ($5000 USD) / pro ($7000 USD) - The two bikes are EXACTLY the same, minus the Pro having S-works Aerofly and Roval Carbon wheels (cl 28 is what the sheet said, didnt look like a 28mm so im not sure what that was about). So 2k diff for carbon wheels and handle bar.

Me and the bike shop owner scanned the differences, its just those two. The stems, seat, seatpost, are all the same. no power meters at this trim.

Pro/SRAM axs etap - Colors: white (looked white too me)

PRO/Ultegra Di2 - Colors: Red (dark red, almost like wine) fade (you can see the carbon), dark blueish black w/ white (not much white.

Expert/Ultegra Di2 - Colors: Salmon (like a light dull pink), a 3 color fade of (front to rear) red purple light blue, silver and black,
Bike looks just like the leaks. All the cables have been tucked. Actually does look like a venge and an sl6 tarmac had a baby, but closely more resembles (imo) the tarmac. threaded bb

which am I getting? Idk if the carbon wheels and aerofly are worth the 2k difference. Since I can just buy both for about 2k total and have an extra set… What are your thoughts.

Aerofly bars are ~$300 and the new Roval wheels are $2600 for a set. Seems like a fine discount. Especially if you don’t have any carbon disk brake wheels laying around.

do you remember what model wheels exactly they were? Cause even the Speci venge pro roval cl50 arent 2600. the cl 50 are $1750. so if i get the rovals and aerofly and cassette, that’ll be lets say 2200. i rather pay $200ish more and have an extra bar and set of wheels.

So $2500 for the pair. If they are just CL50s then yea, not a great savings.

they didnt say clx was the thing. I remeber the spec sheet saying cl and i believe 28.

What country are you in? 5000 USD is cheaper than the SL6 Expert in the USA.

im in the US. Thats why I said USD lol

youre right it is cheaper. Maybe I should just put in my order for it and not the pro. im gonna assume its the wheels that make the price diff.

Yh it’s really a cheap one but then the colors mayb you don’t like them… that’s a lot to think about tbh. What brand u want, shimano or sram. U want to wear a shimano knowing it’s 11 gears and mayb in less than a year gonna b with 12 gears. Sram that seems to b just 1 front ring…

I still have time until 28th July to think about.

I would say it depends on what wheels it comes with and how much you like the handlebar. Also, which paintjob do you prefer?

I can say that I don’t particularly like the aerofly handlebar. Sometimes on a climb I enjoy placing my hand on the aero portion and it’s not as comfortable than the enve aerobars. I also prefer the enve flare.

For the wheels I was told they’re the CL version of the rapide so that’s a pretty good proposition as those rims are unique and potentially awesome. I don’t run tubeless so that’s a non issue. I really like that wide front wheel and am very interested in how that can perform.

Ultimately, I say go with the color your heart desires. You’re going to have to look at that beauty for a few years and why not get the color you prefer. All the other parts can be changed.

Prices all around for Specialized are getting insane. They didn’t change anything with the Shiv TT and moved the price up from $15,000 (already at a wtf price range) to $18,000 USD!!!

?? I still see the Shiv TT at $14,000 USD on the Specialized site.

He said he did wrong and checked on the Canadian website.

That’s what I get for not reading the whole thread before replying…

I saw that specs and it was Roval Rapic CL or CLX, I don’t remember now. But there was no written how deep they are but on the pics rear wheel was definitly deeper then the front. So I think that means it probably was CLX because they are 51 mm in front and 60 mm at the back.

And the color… in the pdf catalgue Expert’s color looked like a piggy pink…

I think im gonna go for the pink. The catalogue said it was salmon, but it does look like a pink color pig lol

Hahaha I will wait until I see them all and I decide. White… piggy pink… but hey the black and red and idk what else sounds cool.

I would love a pink frame, wonder what colours they will have for the s-works frames.

Go above, u will see them.
