Swapping SRAM threaded MTB chainrings - anyone mess with them yet?

full drivetrain kits from sram all come with the wide spindle crankset, it’s listed in the SRAM parts list document, there is no complete XXSL groupset with the narrow 168 qfactor crankset. If you are using the dub wide you just need an additional 3mm on each side, total 7.5 DS and 3 NDS spacer if that’s a SRAM BB.

Its really confusing that they list the Q-Factor as the primary “spec” for the crank instead of the spindle length, which is what’s driving the difference in Q-factor.

I’m planning to use the same BB that I’m currently running on the XX1, which is SRAM Dub. But it seems like the the XX SL 174, wants the Dub wide. My understanding is that I can simply add spacer in order to use standard Dub I have in now.

that’s correct a DUB vs DUB Wide BB the only difference is that the Wide version will come with more spacers to use vs the DUB, the BB it self is the same.
