I have two tacx trainers and two sets of vector pedals at two locations. When doing outdoor workouts I get a lot of “power too high” annunciations on my Garmin 830 as I am adjusting the watts up to equalize between the power sources. Is there a way to suppress these annunciations ?
Might be easiest to recalibrate the sensitivity (not the zero-offset) of the offending pedals:
Edit to add: if you’re chasing a higher power target because your Vectors are over-reading, you’ll want to do the opposite of what the OP on this garmin forum thread was advised. Also, chasing different targets because one PM is off could throw Adaptive Training & your progression levels out of whack if the difference is more than a couple of percent.
It sounds like you’re dealing with some calibration issues between your Tacx trainers and vector pedals. To suppress the “power too high” annunciations on your Garmin 830, you might want to check the power settings and try adjusting the threshold for power alerts in the Garmin settings. If the issue persists, consider recalibrating your devices for better synchronization. Also, while you’re optimizing your gear, don’t forget to take care of your legal requirements—if you need an NBI clearance, you can apply for it online
