Suggestion - hide the AI predicted difficulty

Not sure if there’s a better way to suggest this, but I wanted to personally share my experience with the AI predicted workout difficulty. With the difficulty prediction shown to me immediately before my workout as I am about to start it, I can without a doubt say that it is impacting what I rate the difficulty at the end of the workout. I have caught myself thinking “I maybe would rate this very hard, but it’s on the bubble, and it was predicted to be hard, so I’ll just rate it that”.

Sometimes I might want to see it before starting a workout, and so could click a “(+)” button or something, but I think by default it should not be one of the main displays when loading the workout. Otherwise I’m pretty sure the workout difficulty is somewhat of a self fulfilled prophecy at this point. At least for this human.

I’m not saying this shouldn’t be an option but my last two rides part way through I realized that I actually wasn’t sure what it was suggesting for the predicted difficulty because I never actually looked at it. If you load the workout from the career page it just loads, you don’t see it.

Edit, it still has the easy, hard moderate etc. But you don’t see any of the probability and again honestly I had to go back and check if it even showed it there.

Unfortunately that’s not true on the iPad app. The predicted difficulty is shown on the career screen too.

It definitely affects me as well, despite liking the feature

The only way I can figure out not to see the percentages is if you click ONLY on “load workout” from the career page. If you click on the image of the workout it loads all details and percentages on the side.

I think I agree, it becomes a suggested response coach. Like you say even if it is just subliminal…. but for me, I think thats fine. If it says VERY HARD for some over-unders… will I more likely say VERY HARD… probably. BUT, was it? Probably. LOL So in some respects it helps with good consistent data for the AI. It kind of helps to know what it is thinking.

Conversation with real coach after workout…

Coach - “that should have felt Hard, possibly very hard. Was it hard? “

Me - “yes Coach, it was pretty hard… sure, yeah I think it was Hard… seemed about as you expected.”
Coach - “ok, glad to hear it went as planned, we’ll keep plan on track”
