Suggested improvement: Quick toggle between two resistance levels

On my Kickr, I much prefer doing intervals in resistance mode. For longer efforts, I’ll set a suitable resistance level (usually around 28–32). When the recovery portion starts, I simply tap T twice on the keyboard to switch into ERG mode. Once the next interval begins, I hit T again to return to resistance mode.

This method works well for longer intervals, but it’s not practical for short, punchy sessions like 30/30s or 30/15s. :frowning:

The feature I’d love to see is the ability to toggle between two preset resistance levels (e.g., 28 and 17) with a single keystroke.

If I understand you correctly, I accomplish that by shifting. I’m using a road bike on my direct driver trainer and in resistance mode, I shift to an easier gear for recovery, then back to the harder gear for the next effort.

That is an option. But for 30/15 350/130w I don’t find it practical. That is why I racing the feature request.

Yep. Agree it’s trickier shifting. Doing workouts outside, shifting and changing cadence are the only options so I translate that to riding on the trainer indoors. For recovery, I shift into an easier gear and reduce cadence to get into the recovery power zone. Indoors, being able to toggle between resistance levels on the trainer would be convenient.

Hey @Simonwallindk :slight_smile:

I will forward the feature request! If I understand correctly, you want the option to toggle between two preset resistance levels and not necessarily from Resistance to Erg Mode, correct?

Because if you are trying to change between modes on short intervals, we recommend you stick with Resistance mode.

@Caro.Gomez-Villafane you understand correctly.
