Getting a regular issue (90% of the time) that when attempting to login to Strava on my MacBook (it’s a 5 month old Pro) that I get an error message (see below).
No problem whatsoever with the iPhone app. I don’t have any plugins, have tried clearing the cache, history, clicking accept cookies / reject cookies and / or the remember me tick box - but to no avail.
Doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason to it - sometimes lets me in straight away, most often throws up the error message.
I tried logging in using my work PC which is based in my London office so not even using the same broadband connection. Same error message 6 times in a row.
My password is correct and so is my username otherwise I wouldn’t have been successful in logging in the very few times it hasn’t thrown the error message.
Been happening for around 6 or 7 weeks now and has got worse (more frequent) over time.
Saw something similar reported on here by another user a few weeks ago, but appeared to be a one-off issue (if I recall correctly) as opposed to a persistent issue.
Anyone else having this problem?
If so - any luck with a permanent solution?
Staring to lose patience - tried flagging via the app using the help process but it directed me to raise a ticket and then crashed a few times in a row at which point my patience ran thin!
I’ve not come across that my self. Several times lately (including on the same devices). I’ve logged in and in addition to my password they send/ask me a ‘one time’ passcode. There’ some oxymoron’ish about that!
I’ve been encountering the same issue when logging in on my MBP using email/password credentials.
Surprisingly, if I tried enough times, it would eventually work. However, the last time I had the issue, I paused my VPN, and it worked right away. Not sure if this was a coincidence or the problem all along, but it’s worth a try if you use a VPN.
This has happened to me.
I enter my email but get the same error.
A few hours later I get an email with my 1 time code.
Would be nice if I got the screen to use the 1 time code and the email promptly.
I guess they have eliminated the password for browser login.
I’m on a 2024 MBP using Safari and have never seen this issue. I just tried and logged in no problem. I used my email/password, not the One Time Code, if that matters. I do not use a VPN.
Got the same a few times on various PCs - I just gave up and used another device. TBH I’m trying to stop using Strava so they may be helping me out inadvertently!
