My personal recommendation (n=1, YMMV, etc.) is that fasted endurance rides longer than 90 minutes are both very reasonable and helpful over time to elicit training adaptations.

I like to incorporate 3-4 fasting rides a month into my schedule. I normally do them over the weekend before breakfast. Currently I do them outdoors but with the days getting shorter I will probably switch to indoor so that I can utilize the weekends for longer rides. I have a few questions:

Hey folks - when discussing fasted training, I’ve often heard to limit it to 1-2x per week, but I don’t quite understand the logic why. If you were doing endurance rides 4-5x per week (either in a polarized plan, or simply traditional base or offseason), why not do fasted rides as frequently as you can manage?
