Question about adaptations…. When there are multiple adaptations pending, is there a way to accept only the ones you want, instead of accept/skip all?

There is not, but I believe that request has been made before. Of course, the TR AI is suggesting adaptations to make your plan more effective, not just your tomorrow. And there’s also the possibility that an adaptation you don’t really feel like accepting today might change by the time you get to that date.
Why not just take them all, every time? I mean, if you are going to use TR and the Ai, you should probably just go whole hog and try not to game their system. Let it do it’s job as intended.
Then why so they ask? Why does it not automatically adapt? Another question I have is: why is every week pretty much the same. Seems ineffective to repeat every week more or less the same. Cut and paste.
With regard to your first question: I’m not sure, but I’d guess it’s because sometimes people don’t trust the AI, or because they want to still do the original workouts for some other reason. Whichever the case, though, if you skip the proposed adaptations and continue down the original path, the TR AI will likely just continue to propose other adaptations.
With regard to your second question: I’ve asked this of the TR staff previously, as I was in a sort of ‘workout rut’ for a bit, and the answer was basically that when you are at certain points in your plan, and TR is trying to progress your fitness, there can be limited workouts at the needed PL and specified duration, so you can end up with the same workouts over multiple weeks.
If you want to mix it up, you can look at the ‘alternates’ list for other suggestions and/or change the workout duration and see what’s available. You might also try running the Check Volume utility to see if TR recommends a different schedule for you, which should then result in different workout selections.
@NigelTufnel11 is giving great feedback here
@bobski1 there’s the option to enable auto-adaptations under you Account>>Settings>>Adaptive Training>>Automatically Accept Adaptations.
Agree with above. My training has definitely become more productive as I have had more noticeable gains after automatically accepting all of my adaptations. It one less thing to worry about. I know that I have a VO2 every Monday and a Threshold workout every Saturday so I know that I have to plan for those days. I otherwise try not to take what the AI is recommending too personally. My FTP is the highest it has been in years and I have finished all of the 125+ mile races I have entered this year.
Neither my IOS phone nor Apple MacBook show those options. There is no “adaptive training” option with an automatically. accept option.
Sorry, I should of clarified that you will have to access this setting through the web and not the app.
Log into your TR account through the Web>>Account>>Settings>>Adaptive Training>>Automatically Accept Adaptations.
Because not everyone uses the platform the same way. If you or your coach wants to insert a block of specific training, AI won’t know what you’re doing.
Also, because sometimes the recommendations don’t make sense. There’s still a disconnect between workouts train now recommends, and what plan builder recommends. Sometimes by a big workout level gap.
Sometimes it makes the smallest changes for what doesn’t seem like a valid reason. For example, recommending swapping out two very similar endurance rides, with very similar levels. Feels like change for the sake of change.
Recommendations after a FTP increase have always felt weird to me. Power levels drop a ton as intended, but sometimes it’ll drop workout levels back too far, and other times it won’t touch the recommended ride, despite being a huge level jump.
