Hi guys. Just checked back in on this thread. Some interesting chat. I posted my first 1 minute max effort 1 week into this training block following 3 months of racing. (hate the word training. I just like riding my bike hard ).
2 weeks later I’m happy to say I’ve nailed the 1000w minute without really planning to. It was the right climb/right day/good legs did it.

He has to push a lot of air out of the way though. His draft is glorious, I got to sit in it as the rad dirt last year.
I wonder how aero he could be on a TT bike.
Paul Double (rides for UCI Pro team Polti-Kometa) took the KoM up Rocacorba from Jay Vine last year and hit 373w for 26:20.
His Wikipedia page puts him at 56kg so thats 26+ minutes at 6.67 w/kg which is insane.
