I’m want to try out some narrower handlebars for my Giant Revolt.
The stock bars are Giant Contact XR D-Fuse, 31.8mm, 42cm.
I’m thinking I’d like to try 34 or 36cm flared bars with a short reach. On my Revolt, cables do not route through the headset.
I don’t know anything about reliable handlebar brands though. Can anyone suggest specific models? Alloy or carbon, but don’t want to spend a fortune. I’m UK based if it makes a difference.
I use the 40cm and carbon version of this Ritchey Venturemax on my 2024 (non internal routed) Revolt. With the shifters tilted in, I remember the measurement between the center of the shifters being 30 or 32cm and it’s super comfortable for my forearms to rest on the handlebars.
I’ve been happy with the 34mm version of this on my Revolt. I ended up buying the 38 too in case I want to switch to something a bit wider some time. I live in the US and paid around $35 before the tarrifs. Still cheaper than about anything else probably.
Never shopped off Aliexpress. Guess my question is, how do you find the reliable manufacturers? Some components don’t matter too much, but having a handlebar break seems like it could end very badly.
