I wanted to update my experience for the last week using TR on my Chromebook.
The good news is that once I paired the Bluetooth sensors everything works perfect. I have done three 2 hour rides and two 1 hour rides and had zero drops and everything uploads to the TR website with no problems. I have also used it in tablet and laptop mode with the same results.
Bad news is that the pairing of the sensors to the Chromebook is kind of tedious. Initial pairing is kind of a hassle. I have to turn Bluetooth on and off and then the TR app recognizes the sensors but only reads data from one sensor. I then have to turn Bluetooth on and off again and then the second sensor data is read. Once that is done everything runs perfect.
Then the next time I run the app I have to turn Bluetooth off and on again to get the TR app to pair with the sensors or read the data from the sensors.
The Bluetooth pairing problems may have to do with not closing the app properly when I’m done. I realized today that I just shut the lid and took the chromebook upstairs with me. When I restarted the chromebook, it had a message that said that it wasn’t shutdown properly. Next time, I’m going to shut the app before closing the chromebook and see if that makes a difference.
