If a running workout on TR says “10 min at RPE 4, then 6*3 min at 5k pace with 3 minutes rest, 10 min at RPE 4”
Are the 3 minutes of rest true rest like walking, then slowly work up to speed before the next 5k-pace interval, or if the rest back to the RPE 4 pace?
I don’t think you could do the RI too slow. I typically job VERY easy during these but have walked occasionally too.

@Kevinsmithwfu nailed it for you – the rest interval can be as easy as you need it to be. Walking is totally fine, especially if it helps you recover in time for the next effort.
