Repairing the rubber on Rapha Powerweave shoe

Strange question, but i have a pair of Rapha Explore Powerweaves that I do like. The issue I’m facing is that I have an artificial leg and so I can’t clip in on that side. The back inside portion of the shoe appears to have rubbed a little against the crank arm and the ‘rubber’ circled in the attached photo has started to rub off.

It isn’t a warranty issue and otherwise I enjoy the shoes. Does anyone have any suggestions of some type of liquid rubber or something similar I can put on the spot that’s being rubbed off to protect the weave? I don’t care about the colour, but don’t want to cause a problem with shoe if the rubbing continues.

A layer of Shoe Goo or E6000 will bind the exposed fabric weave together and provides some protection. The versions I’ve used are transparent and dry to a tough flexible plastic.

Good idea! I’m pretty sure I have shoe goo at home!
