It should lock you out of all cycling apps on your PC and drain the battery on your garmin

The AI needs to brick your power meter until you can be trusted to train again.

Another great work! Thanks!

Any chance we can get an alternate color option for the color blind?

Don’t be so sure, there is more in your ride data than it initially appears, for example respiration rate, cadence shifting lower/higher during hard intervals, power line smoothness (even with ERG mode), etc.

Looking at historical rides, it looks spot on for me. I am usually quite consistent high volume rider. Have followed TR or my own plans, often stacking hard days back-to-back. And RLGL shows red on days where I did took day off due fatigue, even if TSB wasn’t too much off.

Not sure what you’re doing because I’ve been on HV plans for years and increased my volume to 1,000 TSS weeks and have ZERO red days (RLGL telling me to take a rest day). The only thing I can guess is you have big TSS days that are far above your normal volume.

@ming - I think this is a really important question

Indeed, it is pretty cool to zoom out as much as possible and check your overall patterns. I wish it would be official TR view/feature.

Ironically, the entire lack of :green_circle: in use still doesn’t alter the impact of Red Light :red_circle: Yellow Light :yellow_circle: (which is the more pragmatic name, apparently)

Happens to the best of us. :joy:

But really now you can try to prevent that!

Yeah, don’t want to be missing key intensity sessions, would rather have it postponed a day or something

Yes, you can accept or reject them.

And yes, it would be cool to see them on that graph. It’s already pretty busy but if there was an option to turn it on that would be cool.

With the new calendar there’s an improved graph that shows races, too!

Wow, this RLGL feature is fantastic, and thank you TR team! Viewing my previous seasons, I was surprised to find that before instances of feeling burned out, there were mostly yellow days rather than red ones.

I have a few questions regarding this feature:

  • Currently, I’m following the general base #3 mid-volume plan, and upon reviewing my history, I noticed some yellow days (and red days too!). Is it acceptable if my rest day coincides with a yellow day, or does a yellow day falling on a rest day suggest I might be pushing too hard?

  • If I anticipate having a yellow day after several days of workouts, will adaptive training determine the duration of the endurance ride on that day or is this something I can choose?

  • Suppose I opt for complete rest on a yellow day instead of following the recommended endurance ride as suggested by AT. Will this result in loss of gains, or is the rest likely to be beneficial?

  • Additionally, does the RLGL feature take into consideration that rest days may not always involve complete rest, and individuals may have tasks requiring prolonged standing or walking? For example, yesterday was a yellow day, and although I didn’t do any TR workouts, I had to spend a significant amount of time walking as part of my work, which wasn’t recorded on Strava. Does RLGL account for external factors like these?

Thank you!

Will RLGL adaptations be separate from β€œregular” AT adaptations?

So if I decide I want to dig my own grave and ignore RLGL suggestions but still want the AT adaptations will they be separate prompts? Or will it be an all or none situation?

It taking into account training history, but it doesn’t have HRV or sleep (yet). I removed the mention of biometrics from the post.

As long as you aren’t killing it on those yellow days you probably good. Just watch it .

Update your mobile app from the app store(s) and you should see it.

Haven’t had a red day in two years. Guess I need to train harder. :sunglasses:

yes, i see after the daily update, today, for TR update on my iOS today, but not before.
Cheers.
C.

Love this. It’s very validating to look back on days where I felt fatigued and decided to dial back or take a rest day and see that they were yellow days at least.
