Recommended Bluetooth adaptor for TV?

I’ve bought myself a cheap TV for watching YouTube / movies etc when riding the trainer.

It has Wi-Fi but doesn’t have Bluetooth.

I’m struggling to hear the sound when I’ve got all my fans running and turning the volume up louder isn’t an option (I live in an apartment so the neighbours wouldn’t appreciate the noise! :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:).

Please can I have some recommendations for a low cost blue tooth adaptor (dongle?) that will allow me to pair my TV via Bluetooth to my SHOKS bone conducting headphones? (I’m UK based so a link to a UK available product would be fantastic)

Photo below of the ports on the TV for context.

Thanks.

You’ll need to use the AUX / headphones port. From there, almost any BT dongle will work. I have to use one for my noise cancelling headphones on planes.

Just as a heads up, though, there is often just a bit of a delay in the audio vs. what you are watching. It is minor, but definitely not 100% synched.

Not necessarily recommending this one (never used it, could be great) but just posting for an example.

What is your source for content in to the TV? I mean if you were using an AppleTV box or a computer or something, you could connect bluetooth headphones to it.

We have a Google Chromecast with Google TV. It serves as a streaming device and allows Bluetooth connections. Two birds one stone. https://store.google.com/product/chromecast_google_tv?hl=en-US

Yes, I tried similar and personally found the delay a bit too much via the dongle. Pairing to direct to AppleTV was still a minor delay but liveable. In the end, I got headphones that had dual 3.5mm and bluetooth and a 3.5mm extension lead. Not just the delay, but hardwired gives a better volume, in my set up at least.

Interesting…I have never noticed a delay when using my headphones with my AppleTV. Are you using AirPods or another brand?

I’ve had a delay, slight at times. Usually if I reconnect it goes away.

+10 for the AirFly, BTW…

Other brands! Very marginal though, you wouldn’t notice watching sport but some movies/ tv I could. It’s a while since I tried, but iirc volume over the airmovers was more an issue - hardwired bypasses the bluetooth volume restrictions!
