First off: I hate being squeezed with Comcast / Xfinity as my only high speed internet option. My internet is down, and Comcast says it will take at least 4 hours to fix

Recommend using Reddit instead of the TR Forum for this specific thread. In the specific case of the original post, a quick search shows many applicable topics.

Be sure to put in a claim for money off your xfinity bill. Every time our Internet goes out I get 5 bucks out of them.
