Put Hiking into your training plan

you can also just set up a privacy zone. Strava then won’t show the exact location where the ride started and ended. and other question: who are you sharing your rides with? I only follow people I know or have ridden with in group rides. You can set your profile to private so no one should be able to track your rides. I’m sure in the early days of gps sharing these concerns were valid and I don’t want to dispute that bikes or dogs (breeds) have been stolen based off of Strava data but there are now measures in place, where I’d feel pretty save sharing stuff on Strava if common sense is applied.

Ah yep, I know about the privacy zones, private profiles, etc… but I’m just in a habit of doing it manually, start/finish away from home, or work, or other places I stay like when I visit my parents. Also I value the community / social medium aspect so training rides/runs, group rides, races, audaxes etc I like to make public, but I set my commutes to followers-only.

All good points and apologies for taking this thread massively off the original post
