Progression levels way off after AI update

I cannot figure out how to use this. I’ve tried on iOS (iPhone & iPad), Mac OS and the web interface, and I cannot find a way to tell it I’m not fatigued, so I’ve just turned it off entirely again.

Vennacher -3 was very straightforward. At no time did I think I was going to be in trouble. I did have to pause to answer the door for a delivery but that didn’t have any noticeable effect. The instructions were very kindly coaching me through the anticipated burn but there was none and I never reached my threshold heart rate.

The fatigue detection is once again telling me I’m fatigued when I’m not. So I’ve turned it off again.

Now you have that under your belt the AI has no excuse for not knowing your fitness level.

Shame about the delivery…. were you credited the full level 4.5 for the work you did?

Have you got a plan in place? If so what is the level of your next threshold workout?

Based on your description I’d assume that it would be in the 5.x’s?

It says Threshold completed: 4.7 / 4.5 — not sure what that means.

I do have a plan now. The next threshold session is in a week at 5.0

Original workout level was 4.5 but analysis of the ride you actually did adjusted it up to 4.7 :grin:

This is good progress - the system is dialing you in pretty quickly.

If I were you I would be happy to just let the system do it’s thing from now on.

I’m really in two minds weather to lead you down this path or not…. because the system is working…. but….

Now the system has a better handle of your fitness you should be able to manually adjust your FTP up a little bit without it loosing the plot.

As long as that threshold workout next week doesn’t drop below a level 3 you will be fine.

For example you could add 10w to your FTP and let the window process and that future threshold workout might drop to a level 4 , add another 10w and it might drop down to a level 3…

But the official answer from support would be that you should just leave it alone and let it the AI do it’s thing - and that’s probably the safest thing to do :+1:

Essentially, given that the whole point of you initial FTP drop was to bring you into the above above level 3 range for threshold workouts, you can take that level 5 workout in your calender as a bit of vindication that the initial FTP drop you were dealt was a little steep.

It’s better that the system eases you in though :+1:
