I’m hoping you took my “Is Pog washed” as sarcastic as it was intended - I figured I needed to poke the bear for Tour de France guessing as this thread has been pretty quiet lately

VDP 6th was also not on my list

Me either, wonder if he’s tuning up to try to have the yellow jersey until they get into the mountains later in the tdf

Man pogi just destroyed everyone yesterday… 1 minute to Jonason that climb… Just have to hope that in a month Jonas is closer and pogi still has TT issues…

It’s great we have one of the best fields for the dauphine in a long time and Eurosport will just broadcast Le mans…

This Dauphine is an ominous sign that the Tour will be a snoozefest

Didn’t see it yet but results today are s bit more encouraging holding the gap and closing it a bit is what I would hope for… But it seems pretty clear that it will be pogi then Jonas and after that nothing I don’t believe that Remco can close that gap and I don’t think primosz is on their level.

Redbull should have lipowitz as co leader. And I can see Almeida podium the tour or even get second behind pogi.

Unfortunately the eye test told a little different story today

Visually Pog was on cruise control the last 5-6km of the climb while Jonas was on the limit holding him at around 20 seconds. Pog looked to be nose breathing once the gap was stable and Jonas was all over the bike

Hoping I’m wrong and it was a max effort for both - but visually it didn’t appear so at all

Time gaps don’t show the reality. Pogi sat up and paced himself in, Jonas was going all out.

Yes that’s the way I read it, Pogacar eased off alot the last kilometre imo, Vingagaard was blowing (alot) and clearly having to work very hard, the gap at the end was a bit flattering tbh.

I would never wish ill on anyone but fingers crossed Pog gets a couple of double punctures or has to hike a bike Col de La Loze to make the TdF interesting. He was absolutely breathing through his nose today while pushing nearly 400w

Watched the last climb… Pogi definitely date up in the last km before that it is a bit hard to tell. Pogi always looks like that even if he goes very close to the limit. Still a bit more hopeful compared to the previous stage. But yeah Pogi is the clear favourite and if Jonas doesn’t find a lot until the tour it will probably be pretty clear.

The national championships are mostly done. Italy’s was very interesting - with the win going to former WT, now club rider Fillipo Conca. Kimberley Le Court again wears the most confusing national champion jersey - Mauritius. I didn’t have coverage of the Belgian race, but it sounds like another case of team tactics letting a rider get away - Tim Wellens for the 41 km solo win.
