It always sucks to see favourites leave because of crashes and injuries
But we have s pretty interesting GC battle. In the end I think Carapaz Winns it. But I don’t know if del torro can hold of Yates it all depends on today if it isn’t raced hard and del Torro can stay on the same time or even take bonis o can see him holding the gap to Yates over finestre
 But it will be hard.

Torres - EDIT of course I MEANT del Toro. What was I thinking?
Carapaz
Yates

I like Carapaz’s aggressive style.

It’s del Toro, you’re all DQed!

My prediction is Carapaz, del Toro, Yates.

Though I would prefer either a del Toro or Yates win. Been super impressed with del Toro, talented and exciting bike racer but comes across as a very nice and humble guy as well and has handled both being in pink and the whole UAE/Ayuso politics really well. Would also love Yates to get some Giro redemption after blowing himself up in 2018. Never warmed to Carapaz for some reason, can’t quite pin down why as the way he races can be electric, does have a bit of a tendency to overplay the “I’m suffering and can’t take a pull” act before attacking so maybe that’s it.

LOL No idea what I was thinking.

BTW, did anyone catch that One-Eye Uso crack that Orla made? I’m dead.

Carapaz has to be the favorite at this point but it all depends on if the peleton decides to hammer today, EF isn’t strong enough to do it so he needs some help

I’d go Carapaz, del Toro, Gee as my podium

Pretty fun going into the final weekend and not having a clear winner!

Updating my podium after today’s stage

  1. Carapaz
  2. del Torro (plus I got it right this time  )
  3. Yates

Ive just watched the highlights I don’t see Del Toro throwing away 43s to Carapaz.

Del Toro
Carapaz
Yates

Would be my prediction now. Its another long stage though :-o

I want EF to win. I want del Toro to win. I love watching Carapaz. Ugh, so hard to even decide what to hope for. It’s going to be exciting.

What I’m really hoping for is a slugfest on Colle delle Finestre, and the GC battle doesn’t wait till Sestriere. If it doesn’t kick off till Sestriere, then my bet is del Torro wins

I think Del Toro wins. I want Carapaz or Yates to win. Del Toro would be SO easy to root for if he wasn’t on UAE :frowning:

GC leaders have lost way more than 43s on Finestre and tomorrow is an actual summit finish instead of a downhill finish like today.

If either EF or Visma had the team to keep the pace proper hard I think it would almost be guaranteed that de Toro would get dropped tomorrow, but given they don’t then it’s a toss up to me, though I lean more towards he loses time to Carapaz but potentially not the full 43s.

It’s definitely possible but I don’t see it happening :+1:

Yesterday was a bit of s snooze but del Toro was impressive on such a hard stage. I still think he will struggle on finestre against Carapaz but if he doesn’t crack and the gap is sub 50 second I think he may be able to close it on sestriere.

Can’t watch live but will watch from the bottom of finestre on the trainer when the kids sleep

If you want to watch it live, NOW is time. No snooze fest today.

45k to go if you want to catch all the action, a bit earlier if you want to see a team almost stuff it on the descent.

I did not see this happening.

Anyone know where Wout is on the road?
